So, I'm going through all of my makeup, trying to find out what I want to review for you guys, and I see this, and even though you can only find it on Urban Decay's website now, it is still a great palette. This was the first non-Naked palette from Urban Decay and I have to say I was pretty pleased with the entirety of this palette.
Included in this palette are 8 eyeshadows, four are full sized eye shadows and the other two are a duo pan eyeshadow, you also get a travel sized 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Rockstar, and an exclusive High Saturated Lip Gloss in Glinda.
Eyeshadows-
- Tornado-a rich deep purple with pink undertones with a frosted shimmer finish.
- Aura-this is one of the duo pans, the first shade is an iridescent white with blue undertones. The second is an iridescent white with pink undertones
- Magic-a pinkish purple shade with gold shimmer and a satin finish.
- Illusion- a peachy shade with gold undertones and a frosted metallic shimmer
- Oz-another duo pan with a silver with metallic silver glitter, the other being a gold with metallic gold glitter
- South-a cool dark taupe with a frosted metallic finish
Eye Liner and Lip Pencil
- 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Rockstar- deep eggplant color with a slight pearl finish
- High Saturated Lip Color in Glinda-soft rosey beige with gold and pink shimmer. This is extremely similar to their Naked color
Ok, so let's talk about these eye shadows, they all have pretty much a different feel, so I unfortunately can't say "oh they're all buttery and perfect with no fallout" which sucks, especially for UD, but the different feels don't change my love for this palette. Tornado is an amazing color. The best one in my opinion in the palette. The deep pinkish purple color with the shimmer finish is just gorgeous, not to mention the buttery smooth feel of this one when it applies is just great. Definitely one of the best shades. Aura is an great idea for a shade. The pigmentation was decent, but it wasn't as buttery as most UD shades go. When this gets taken care of, I imagine that this would be an unbeatable color. Magic is another of my favorites in this palette. While a tiny tiny tiny bit chalky, the color and shimmer of this is just gorgeous. I pair this with Tornado and I have my go to eye combo with this palette.
Illusion is another of my favorite ones in this palette. I actually can use this one as a brow bone highlight when I use some of the darker colors in this palette. The peachy shade with the gold undertones is just an amazing complementing color for almost any eye look and with it's smooth texture, it really lives up to UD's name. Oz is the other duo pan in this palette. Both of these colors are gorgeous glitters, but have the absolute worst fallout that I have seen in any of the UD's shades. These don't get used by me often, but when I do, I definitely do my foundation after I do my eyes. The pigment on these are great, the fallout just gets to me. South reminds me of a mix between UD's Mushroom and UD's Pistol. It's a really pretty dark frosted taupe that goes with just about anything. Really pigmented and buttery and so easy to put on and blend.
Rockstar is a great eggplant colored eyeliner with a slight pearl finish. This is a great color to go with this palette, and a great color period. It isn't as harsh as black is on the eyes so it really keeps it nice and soft, just like the theme of the palette. Glinda is a gorgeous nude color, and like I said before is extremely similar to UD's Naked Lip Color. This goes on so creamy and lasts quite awhile that I couldn't believe it. It's not sticky, but slightly tacky if that makes any sense at all. It has been a staple for my lips since I got it.
This set originally started at $49 US dollars, and I just checked, it is NOT available on UD's website anymore. :-( This is a great palette either way and I really hope that you guys were able to get it before it was gone!
