January 2014 Ipsy Bag!!!

Yesterday, I went to check the mail, and this pretty hot pink bag was in my mailbox.  Can you guess what it was?  My IPSY bag!!!  I am so excited for this time of the month because it means I get my bag!  This is seriously what I look forward to every month.
Don't know what IPSY is?  Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription that sends you 4-5 beauty items(makeup, skincare, and haircare) in deluxe samples, or even full sized, in a cute little makeup bag for only $10 a month!  Yes, you read that right-$10 a month!  Some brands are Be A Bombshell, Urban Decay, Benefit, Yaby, Pixie, Pop, Mirabella, Coastal Scents, Balanced Guru, and that's just to name a few!
This month was called 19 Reasons.  It was based around mainly skin care and hair care with a little bit of makeup thrown in.  I received the Yaby foundation in Buff, the Balanced Guru Balm Me Up body balm pretty decent sized sample, a Benefit Porefessional sample, (Malin+Goetz) Mojito Lip Balm, and Absolute! makeup remover towlettes in Pomegranate.
The Yaby foundation in Buff is a pretty decent match for me.  It is slightly darker than my pale as a ghost complexion(too bad they don't have that as an option on the IpsyMatch quiz!) but in a month or so, when I'm able to get outside with my girls more often, I hope that it will be a better match.  This is a very lightweight foundation, I am wearing it now and can hardly tell that it is on.  It is also a light to medium coverage, so it is perfect for those with an even complexion, or those wanting something lighter for the warmer days that want more of a foundation look than a BB cream or a CC cream. At Camera Ready Cosmetics, the price for a full sized tube(8mL and I received a 15.4g tube) is $13.99 and there are 12 different shades.
The Balanced Guru Balm Me Up Organic Sweet Cocoa & Tangy Body Balm.  This is to help with dry skin and some of the ingredients are cocoa and shea butter, babassu oil, lime, sweet orange, and mandarian.  There are a few more fruits and oils in here, but this is what it mainly consists of.  It is a very thick balm, that when applied, gets pretty greasy, but it does what it says.  I put this on my very dry hands, elbows and feet before I went to bed, and when I woke up, they weren't baby soft, but they were pretty darn close.  I received a 1oz sample, that looks like it might actually last for awhile.  The full size(4oz) retails for $45 at Balm Me Up
Another sample that we received was a makeup remover wipe. Absolute! sent out a couple 10 packs of makeup remover wipes in a few different scents.  I received it in Pomegranate. I've used these in Cucumber before and absolutely loved them.  I think they work so great for the low price point.  The 10 pack we received retails on Nicka for $2.49.  They do have two other sizes, one being a 33 count ($4.99) and a 100 count($7.99).
The only full sized item that I received this month was the (MALIN+GOETZ) Mojito Lip Balm.  This is a very thick clear lip product that comes off to be more of a gloss than a balm. I put this on this morning before doing my makeup and still needed to wipe some off before I could put on my lipstick. It is very moisturizing, but I am obsessed with my EOS Lip Balms and that's hard to top.  You can find the Mojito Lip Balm at (MALIN+GOETZ) priced at $12.00
Last, but definitely not least, I received a sample size of Benefit's Porefessional.  The Porefessional is a pore and wrinkle blurer(is that even a WORD?!) I have never tried it before and I am still trying it out so I can't give a better idea of the product.  The sample sent out was a 3mL size, the full size being 22mL and priced at a whopping $30.
The total of the bag came out to around $38, not one of higher end, pricey bags, but I think it was still worth the $10 this month for sure.
